Welcome July!
Hello there,
It's hard to believe that we're already in the middle of summer! In just a few weeks, we'll be experiencing our first college dropoff. I had envisioned this as the summer of family togetherness before our oldest heads off to college, but it seems like the kids' jobs and friends have taken precedence, making it challenging to coordinate our schedules as a family.
In the meantime, the real estate market in our region continues to show strong activity. Although the time on the market is giving buyers a bit more inventory, more opportunity to explore and consider their options, it's remains a seller's market. With the 100% probability of a rate cut now expected in September, I anticipate a bustling fall season with buyers returning to the market, increased competition, and rising prices.

Traders see the odds of a Fed rate cut by September at 100% "There are now 93.3% odds that the Fed’s target range for the federal funds rate, its key rate, will be lowered by a quarter percentage point to 5% to 5.25% in September from the current 5.25% to 5.50%, according to the CME FedWatch tool. And there are 6.7% odds that the rate will be a half percentage point lower in September, accounting for some traders believing the central bank will cut at its meeting at the end of July and again in September, says the tool. Taken together, you get the 100% odds." |
